CACHE Level 2 Diploma For The Early Years Practitioner
The aim of this qualification is to prepare learners to work with children between birth and five years with knowledge of children up to seven years or to progress onto the CACHE Level3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator).
How will I be taught?
The qualification carries 33 credits with a minimum of 269 guided learning hours, or 6-9 hours per week
Learners will need to be working or volunteering in a practical placement as an important part of the assessment process involves evaluating skills in real working situations. A minimum of 250 placement hours is recommended over the one year course. During placement, learners will need support from a professional within the real work environment who will be required to complete professional development records.
You will be allocated an assessor who will come into your workplace and observe you working.
Are there any additional costs?
All students will pay a £50 registration fee. The course fee is £800. If you earn below £16,009.50 per year or are receiving most means tested benefits you will only pay a £50 registration fee. Please call us if you need further information about this.

Where to go when you get here
When you arrive for your first class please come to the main College Reception where our staff will be able to direct you to your room.
We hope there are enough parking spaces in the College ground for all our students. There are car parks in the Middle Road and the Deacon Road entrances to site. If you do need to park outside we thank you for your courtesy to out neighbours. To park on-site if you are attending a daytime course you will need to apply for a permit from Student Services.
