CACHE Introduction to Early Years Education & Care Level 2
The aim of this qualification is to prepare learners to work with children from birth to seven years of age with applied knowledge in the early years, 0-5 years. Upon successful completion of this qualification learners can enter the workforce as a qualified Level 2 Early Years Practitioner or continue to study for a Level 3 Diploma holding Early Years Educator status.
How will I be taught?
The qualification carries 37 credits with a minimum of 293 guided learning hours, or 7-9 hours per week.
Learners will need to be working or volunteering in a practical placement as an important part of the assessment process involves evaluating skills in real working situations. A minimum of 250 placement hours is recommended over the one year course. During placement, learners will need support from a professional within the real work environment who will be required to complete professional development records.
You will be allocated an assessor who will come into your workplace and observe you working.
The qualification allows progression into the CACHE Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification.
