Are there any additional costs involved?

There are no additional costs for this course.

How will I be taught?

Learners will have regular support meetings at an agreed time, with telephone and email support. There will be work-place visits to carry out assessments, professional discussions and a portfolio assessment.

What does the course involve?

There are three qualifications for learners to choose from:

  • OCR Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
  • OCR Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
  • OCR Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement

Each qualification includes a unit that covers all the essential knowledge and understanding which assessors need, plus one or more units that describe component practice. This offers flexibility and a greater potential to meet the needs of aspirant assessors.

How will I be assessed?

Learners will be assessed through units which are worth overall credits for the qualification. Assessment will be via a portfolio. This will lead to a certification with OCR.
