Lianne Miller plays for the Itchen College women’s basketball team and for the England Under 18s team.
“I enjoy the courses I’m doing because they involve sports, which is what I am passionate about. My goal in the next two years is to get a scholarship to America and play NCAA Division 1 College Basketball, whilst working towards playing in the 2012 Olympics.
My main goal in life is to play in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), the highest level for women’s basketball.
In addition to giving me the opportunity to play in the European Championships for my country, playing Basketball has given me confidence and many social benefits. I have been able to meet so many different people around the world who have the same interests that I do.”
