Computing & ICT Department

Since the introduction of Curriculum 2000, computing and ICT have seen a huge growth in numbers as students choose IT courses to complement their other studies. The explosive growth in opportunities for people with advanced IT skills has also led to a widening of the opportunities on offer.

All students at Itchen continue to develop their IT skills during their time with us as part of the Key Skills programme.

IT facilities throughout the College

• most subject areas have their own networked IT resources in addition to the main IT suites
• the LRC has many PCs available for private study use
• The college intranet is accessible from home for staff and students
• Every student has their own email account and internet access
