Itchen College is delighted to accept applications from International students who want to develop their English language skills whilst preparing to apply to UK universities.

Every International student at Itchen receives English tuition and study support to help them achieve their goal of successfully gaining admission to a UK university.

AS/A Level Programme

We have almost fifty subjects for you to chose from and our staff will provide you with help and guidance to find the right subjects for you. For information about the subjects available please visit the Courses section of our website. You need to have a good standard of English (IELTS 5.0) to study AS Levels. You will study 3 AS/A Level courses in addition to English as a Foreign Language to prepare for the IELTS examinations.

Pre A-Level Programme (GCSEs/BTECs)

This package is aimed at 16 year old students who have not yet finished their secondary education, such as students who have completed Form IV in Hong Kong. It is the first year of a three year programme leading to A Levels.

In their first year, students will study a combination of GCSE Maths, GCSE Science, BTEC First Certificate and English as a Foreign Language. In the second and third year, students will take AS/A levels and IELTS.

There are a number of BTEC First Certificate options such as Art, Business, ICT, Music or Travel & Tourism. For information about the subjects available please visit the Courses section of our website. You need to have IELTS 4.5 to study GCSE/BTEC First Certificate courses.
