Attendance, Holidays and Progress Reviews
Attendance in lessons is a basic requirement of learning. There is a strong correlation between student success and attendance levels. Students are expected to attend all lessons.
The college monitor attendance and keep you, and your son/daughter, informed through letters if absence is a problem. The college have an attendance policy and should a student not adhere to it, he/she will be asked to leave.
Students should not take holidays in term time. The calendar of dates for the college shows that students have fourteen weeks leave and they are expected to take their holidays during these times. Flights should be booked to allow 100% attendance in all lessons.
Any student who does take a holiday during term time may face review of their position in the college.
We keep you involved in the progress of your child. The college issues progress reviews over each academic year that look at your child's attendance levels, grades in all subjects, comments from teachers and comments from their tutor.
