A Level Results Day 2018

It's that time of year again! A Level results day takes place on Thursday 16 August. Here's everything you need to know.

What time will the college be open for students collect A Level results?

College is open from 9am-12pm to collect results in the Student Centre. Results will be posted to students in the afternoon so students should aim to be in college to collect results between 9am-12pm.

What time will results be available online?

Full results will be available through IRIS from 6.30am. If students have any problems accessing their IRIS accounts, they will need to come into college and collect their results. If they cannot come into college and cannot access their account for whatever reason, they should call 023 8043 5636.

How do I access my results online?

On laptop/computer: at the top of the website there is a grey bar with a link to login to 'Student IRIS'. Students then need to go to the 'Exams' tab to view their results.

On mobile/tablet:  click the top right-hand three grey lines, go to 'Tools' and 'Student IRIS'.

What do I have to bring with me to collect my results?

Students will need photographic ID, eg. student ID, passport, provisional/full driving license. If they do not have photographic ID, a laptop will be available in the Student Centre for them to confirm their ID through their IRIS login.

I'm collecting results on behalf of someone else, what do I have to bring?

You will need a signed letter/note from the person whose results you are collecting giving you permission to do so. You will also need your own photographic ID to confirm who you are. Without these, you will not be allowed to collect the results.

My results have gone differently than expected (better or worse), what can I do? Will I be able to speak to anyone about my results?

Yes, a helpdesk will be available in college with teachers and UCAS advisors. They will be able to talk you through your options and any concerns you may have.

Will food and drink be available?

Yes, free tea, coffee, juice and pastries will be available in the Student Centre.

I was told/had a letter telling me that I need to pay exam fees. Where do I go to do this?

Students will need to come into college and speak to the Exams Office between 9am-4pm. If they cannot come into college, students should call the Exams Office on 023 8043 5636 ext. 291.

Can parents/guardians come along to Results Day?

Of course! Parents/guardians are more than welcome to come along.

My online results are confusing me, what do I do?

Check the date given next to the exam to make sure it is the correct result and not a result from a previous exam/year. A helpdesk of teachers will be available in college between 9am-12pm on Results Day for you to ask any questions or clarify results that you are unsure of.

When will GCSE and IGCSE results be available?

Students will be able to collect GCSE results on Thursday 23 August from the Exams Office between 9am-12pm. Results will be posted to students after 12pm. You will also be able to access your grades online via IRIS from 9am.

When will vocational/BTEC/CTEC results be available?

Vocational/BTEC/CTEC results come in throughout August and early September so they may already be available. If you are coming into college on Thursday 16 August you will be able to collect them if they are available for you. If you are not coming in on Results Day, you can come into college any day between 9am-4pm to speak with the Exams Office.
