Here are the answers to some questions that are frequently asked:

How many subjects do students study?

Students tend to choose three subjects or the equivalent when studying a double or triple award programme. Some students may also take on the Extended Project Qualification alongside their other studies.

What student support is available at Itchen?

At Itchen we have a fully dedicated Student Support Team located in the Student Services Centre. Our advisors are always on hand to help with any enquiries or problems. This includes working through personal issues and giving guidance on housing, finances, bus passes and careers. 

Our Careers Team are also based in the Student Services Centre. They will be able to give you guidance on your next steps and support your UCAS applications.

Do Itchen operate a bus service?

Yes, we operate a bus service consisting of 8 different routes. we support students travelling from Bishops Waltham; Hedge End; Whiteley; Park Gate; Gosport; Lee-on-the-Solent; Bishopstoke; Chandler's Ford; Fareham; Warsash; Hamble; Netley; Romsey; Baddesley; Swaythling; and more!

What are the current Itchen pass rate statistics?

In the academic year 2019/2020, 55% achieved A*-B grades with a 99% pass rate overall.

How many students are at Itchen?

Itchen is a medium-sized college with approximately 1400 students. We pride ourselves upon being a unique, close-knit community in comparison with other colleges. We are small enough to really know our students and big enough to offer a full range of provision.

Will I be able to monitor attendance?

Yes, you will be given access through the college system. More information will be provided to you on how this operates closer to enrolment.

Do you have Parents' Evenings?

Yes we do. We host parents' evenings and review days throughout the year.
