Golf Students Among Top 10 in Country

Golf Academy

Our Golf Academy students traveled to the Forest of Arden Golf Club in Birmingham on Tuesday 2 May for two days to compete in the British Schools and Colleges National Golf Finals.

90 individual golfers and 22 of the best teams in the country took part, playing on the famously difficult course, and Itchen's team finished in 10th place overall. This puts them into the top 10 British Schools and Colleges teams in the country. Our team also did brilliantly individually, with James Sankey finishing in 5th place and Brad Wright in 10th.

Many of the other golf academies competing focus full time on golf, with their students not studying anything else, so it goes to show just how good our students are to be competing at such a high level whilst keeping on top of their academic studies.

Next week Itchen's Golf Academy travels to Leeds to play in another National Final. We wish them luck and congratulations for doing so well in Birmingham!
