English Literature Students Watch Othello In London

English & Media

On Wednesday 5th April, the 2nd year A-Level English Literature group went to London's Sam Wanamaker theatre to see a performance of William Shakespeare's Othello.

This classic tragedy of jealousy and deceit was brilliantly brought to life in the ornate and intimate theatre. There were some intriguing modern twists, including songs from Lana Del Rey and several interesting explorations of race and sexuality which gave us all something to think about. The performance was extremely beneficial for supporting our knowledge of one of Shakespeare's most famous plays, and a very enjoyable day out!
