Media Visit to ITV Meridan

English & Media

On Wednesday 21 October, our Media students visited the ITV Meridan studios as a part of their Creative Diversity Network event.

The students were involved reading news, delivering the weather and filming, recording and presenting interviews.

They went in the gallery and watched the 6 o'clock broadcast go to air. The students found it to be a great learning experience and showcased what it would be like to work in the television and news broadcasting industry.

Students were also featured on ITV Meridan's Twitter account, with student Emily featured presenting the weather and commenting, 'it was a bit nerve-wracking, but I loved it!'. Another student was featured as saying, 'a great experience for my future. Loved it!'.

We look forward to hosting more exciting trips like this in the future for our students.
