Essential Skills Video for Children in Need

Foundation Learning

Our Essential Skills students have taken part in some filming for the BBC recently as part of Children in Need and for Choices Advocacy.

Ophelia Matthias had recently visited the college as part of Choices Advocacy, a charity which works with people in Hampshire to provide independent advocacy and support their personal skills and abilities. Ophelia came in to do some activities with our students and talk to them about Choices Advocacy.

As part of BBC's Children in Need, our students were featured with Ophelia in a short video and a fuller audio clip, with interviews with the students and Ophelia, about the charity work which Choices Advocacy does in the local community. You can watch the video here or hear the fuller audio clip here.

We are thrilled our students got to be a part of this fantastic opportunity and share their experience with Ophelia in her workshop.

The video and audio will be a part of the BBC's Children in Need campaign, which the college also supports every year. See our previous charity fundraising for Children in Need here.
