Resort Representatives

Vocational Level 2

This course is offered to students in this learning area and may form an integral part of your study programme. This course may also be available for students who are studying subjects outside of the learning area, although Geography & Tourism students will have priority if the course is oversubscribed.

...you have an interest in working as a resort representative or those wishing to explore the industry before making definite career choices.

Where can this course lead to?

Many students go on to work in the tourism sector and gain employment with resort representatives or travel agents. A previous example is former student Chantelle Hall, who applied for the post of High Season Overseas Resort Representative after hearing about it from her college tutor. She successfully completed the rigorous interview process to land what she describes as her 'perfect job'!

What will I study on this course?

Students’ confidence will be gained in dealing with people and solving common customer complaints.

All students are guaranteed an interview with Thomas Cook on successful completion and satisfaction of employment requirements.

All students will study the following units:

  • Investigate employment opportunities for resort representatives
  • Undertake resort pre-season preparation
  • Manage airport and transfer duties
  • Undertake in-resort duties
  • Investigate the role of the children’s representative
