Work Experience and Employment Success for Travel & Tourism Students

Geography, Travel, Humanities & Modern Languages

Travel & Tourism students have been taking what they learn in the classroom to the real world lately as several students have secured employment and impressed on work experience placements.

Double award student Olivia Bulpitt has turned studying Cabin Crew in class at Itchen into her dream job as she has secured employment as a flight attendant with British Airways.

There was also good news for Travel & Tourism Level 2 student Alice Bound as her work experience placement with a kids club at Wildern School has resulted in the offer of a summer job.

Another Level 2 student Chelsea Marfo, alongside Lyanne Asare, has also secured part-time employment after impressing on a work experience placement whilst working as a kids’ entertainer and tourist guide for DEinUK.

These are more examples of how Itchen College strives to prepare its students for the future by focusing on employability as well as preparing students for further study.
