Lockheed Martin Code Quest Competition
Mathematics, Computing & Science
On Saturday 23 September, our Computing & IT students took part in a competition called Code Quest from Lockheed Martin, a company based in Whiteley which develops defense systems and military technology.
The students in the team included Anita Dann, James Hutchinson, Moe Mohammed, Lewis Griffiths, Tom Collier and Ed Nevard. IT teacher Chris Surawy also accompanied the team as the coach.
The competition was against other teams and colleges, and the goal was for the team to get as many points as possible within their time limit of two and a half hours.
Challenges included solving problems using the programming languages of Java and Python, and the students could switch between the languages based on which problem they faced.
The students had a great time and developed their programming skills!
