The Media learning area boasts state-of-the-art facilities with a green screen, industry standard editing software and our own radio station. Itchen Radio is run by students with shows being broadcast via Unity 101 Community Radio. As part of the Creative Arts Academy, students also have access to guest speakers working in the media industry, national trips to TV studios ans museums, as well as experience in developing their own media portfolio.
Media subjects will provide you with the analytical and creative skills necessary to embark on a wide range of degree courses and career pathways.

Oliver was thrilled with his high results in his A Levels. He achieved A*, A*, B in Media Studies, Creative Writing and Philosophy.
Oliver is going on to Bournemouth University where he will study Multimedia Journalism.
Speaking about his time at Itchen, Oliver said that 'it was a laugh' and he was excited to be going to university, where he has also earned a £1500 scholarship.
