Where can this course lead to?
Many students go on to study a similar subject at university degree level or seek employment in production and the performing arts industry.
What will I study on this course?
The course offers a combination of acting, dance, performance and music. Students can develop their skills in some or all of these areas.
You will study and develop the vocational skills needed for a career on the musical theatre stage: acting, singing and dancing. You will have multiple opportunities to perform during the course. The department also run numerous trips to see shows in London’s West End and more locally at Southampton’s Mayflower theatre to inspire you. You will also have the opportunity to receive heavily subsidised singing lessons.
