Our Science learning area is taught by highly qualified and experienced staff and our close links with higher education institutions ensure that many of our students go on to study science-based subjects at university, alongside visiting research laboratories at universities and being a part of research groups.
Typically progression will be to a degree in a STEM based discipline. After their degrees, many students pursue postgraduate research.
Jenny studied STEM subjects whilst at Itchen as well as doing the Extended Project Qualification. She was ecstatic with her results, gaining A, A, B, A* in Biology, Maths, Chemistry and Extended Project.
Jenny will be going on to the University of Birmingham to study Biomedical Science. Speaking about her time at the college, she said, 'Being at Itchen was really good, I loved every minute of it.'
