Introduction to Early Years Education & Care

This is a course for those who would like to begin an introductory qualification for working with children or those who would like to progress to the Level 3 qualification.

Where can this course lead to?

After this course, students can seek employment within nursery or school settings. They may also wish to progress onto the Level 3 qualification.

What will I study on this course?

This course will prepare you to work with children or progress onto the Level 3 CACHE qualification in Childcare & Education (Early Years Educator).

You will learn about working with children at different stages in their growth and development, up to the age of seven years. You also learn how to work with parents, carers and with other professionals in the field of child care and education.

A substantial amount of time is spent in practical placements with children, including schools and nurseries.

Please note: Students who take any Care course will be required to pay for a DBS (Disclosing and Barring Service) check.
