Psychology GCSE

Vocational Level 2

This is a good introductory course to the subject and would be ideal for students that might not have met (or are on the borderline) of the entry requirements for the A Level course.

This course is for you if...

...you would like to gain a broad introduction to Psychology.

Where can this course lead to?

Many students go on to continue study in a Level 3 programme, such as Sociology A Level or Psychology A Level. Psychology is a very useful subject for any career where you interact with people. Occupations such as journalism, nursing and marketing all welcome trainees who have studied psychology.

What will I study on this course?

This course will provide a scientific examination of the mind and behaviour of people within society.

This qualification will look at several aspects from the A Level in less depth, making it an excellent foundation for the A Level.

Extended opportunities and enrichment

Students go on various trips as part of their studies, with the Social Sciences department running national and international trips. They also have guest lectures from visiting professionals, teachers who have published research in their field and undertake charity work throughout the year.
