Gwent South Wales 2016

Uniformed Services, Law & Criminology

Once again our Uniformed Services Academy students have come back to Itchen with a trophy, having won the 2016 Gwent South Wales Competition.

A team comprising of twelve students went up to south Wales to take on a variety of challenges including hill walking, gorge walking, climbing and other fitness and command tasks. All were overseen by members of the military and emergency services.

The college competed against other teams and after three long and exhausting days, returned to the college victorious.

Learning Area Manager, Mark Hughes, congratulated the whole team on their victory and is already looking forward to the 2017 competition.

Well done to the whole team, including students: Lewis Bridle (Captain), Bradley Beattie-Jordan, Tamara Beech, Holly Carless, Chloe Cherrington, Ben Coomber, Ilja Griscenko, Jacob Hansford, Daisy-May Jacobs, Jack Pollinger, Stephen Smith and Joshua Young.
