If you truly love acting and want to develop as a practising artist, this is the course for you.
This course is for you if:
- you want to lay the foundations for a lifelong acting career
- you wish study a pure performing arts programme.

What will I study on this course?
A series of modules will take students through acting training and will provide a basis for life as a professional performing artist. These modules are to be confirmed and will be tailored around the intake but may include:
- performing to an audience
- stand-up comedy
- acting for film and TV
- auditions for actors
- developing the voice of an actor
- a theatre in education tour.
This course is inspired by teaching giants such as Stanislavsky, Brecht and Artaud. It provides a distinctive and methodological approach to developing the actor's unique ability.
A small cohort guarantees maximum individual attention and training that will last a lifetime. You will be guided by a core team of dedicated and highly gifted teachers whose work is adventurous and modern.
You will also benefit from strong contacts within the industry, including regular visits from distinguished practitioners, theatre companies and alumni.
Extended opportunities and enrichment
Throughout the course there will be opportunities to work with visiting practitioners and take part in workshops lead by professional performing artists. You will also be invited to join the department on trips to experience a wide range of theatre and performance art.
Where can this course lead to?
This course offers intensive and vocational training which will prepare you for direct entry into professional work, drama school or university. Some of our students are even signed by casting agencies during their second year. This course provides UCAS points if you do wish to move onto higher education.
