Band of Skulls To Visit Performing Arts
Visual & Performing Arts
On Thursday 19 October, our Performing Arts students will have the opportunity to meet professional musicians from Band of Skulls.
Band of Skulls are a hugely successful Southampton rock band, featuring Russell Marsden (guitar and vocals) and Emma Richardson (bass and vocals). The group formed after meeting in college, although the two had known each other since they went to school together.
The band, who have released four studio albums, will be coming to the college to take part in a live acoustic session and a question and answer session with our students. There will also be the chance for our students to showcase their best work to Band of Skulls.
Teacher of Music, Jack Dale, commented, 'Band of Skulls are one of the most exciting bands to have come from Southampton and it's a unique opportunity for our students to learn from them.'
Calum Lintott, the college's Performing Arts Technician and professional musician himself, added, 'Having a touring act such as Band of Skulls coming into the college is a testament to the band's humbleness and willingness to give back to the local community and young musicians in this city.'
We're excited for Band of Skulls to meet our excellent Performing Arts students next week!
