Dion Performs National Anthem to 35,000 People

Visual & Performing Arts

Performing Arts student Dion Light was selected to perform the national anthem to over 35,000 people at Winchester's Motocross of Nations in September.

The event, held at Matterly Basin, was a once in a lifetime event for Music and Business student. Dion has only started at Itchen this year, and has had the opportunity to perform on a worldwide stage.

When the anthem finished, a spitfire flew overhead, an amazing experience for any student to behold.

Our Performing Arts team were hugely proud of Dion and her ability to perform in front of such a large crowd. Read more about her experience in the Portsmouth News article here.

Well done to Dion and we're looking forward to her next show-stopping performance.
