Adult and Community Education Co-Ordinator

Itchen College is currently recruiting for an Adult and Community Education Co-Ordinator to work alongside our External Funding Projects Manager. The successful candidate will be highly organised and have exceptional communication skills, ideally with supervisory or management experience. You will be happy working in a fast paced environment and confident dealing with both internal and external customers.
You will have excellent IT skills including Microsoft office suite and use of your own vehicle.

Community Events Supervisor

We are looking for an enthusiastic, team player for our growing business. You will ensure that the hirers receive an outstanding service and that our community lettings, sports centre activities, events, and parties run smoothly. You will build up friendly rapports with our hirers and will be eager to find fresh and creative ways of gaining additional business to utilise the venue hire.
You will use excellent communication skills working with your colleagues. This is also a practical role where you will also be responsible for setting up and clearing away the venues and events, at a fast pace and to detail and also serving behind the bar and cafe.
The successful candidate will have experience in customer service, and ideally have a background in events and hosting children’s activities, although training will be given to the successful candidates. You will be a highly organised, motivated with strong team values. You will help to create a great working environment to ensure customer satisfaction and retention across the community provision.
You also need to be:
- Self-motivated and determined.
- Happy taking ownership of problems and finding ways to solve them
- A team player, to work with your colleagues sharing input for new ideas and development
- Positive, enthusiastic and able to adapt to changing situations
- Confident using MS Office and other basic IT packages
- Sales knowledge would be ideal although not essential
This job will involve evening work and also weekend work on a rota basis, the successful person will be open to working overtime to cover additional events as they are booked and be flexible to cover colleague’s holiday and absence.

Itchen Sixth Form College is looking to employ cleaners for the hours as outlined below. The ideal candidate needs to have excellent attention to detail and be able to work as part of a team as well as alone at times, using their own initiative. Previous cleaning experience as well as having previously worked within an educational environment would be advantageous but not essential. The ability to move light furniture is required.
- 10 hours per week Monday-Friday (times to be discussed at interview)
- 43 weeks per year- (term time plus 4 weeks during the holidays)
- £9.66 per hour plus £1.17 per hour holiday pay

Itchen Sixth Form College is looking to employ a permanent, part-time cleaning supervisor. The ideal candidate needs to have excellent attention to detail and be able to manage our cleaning team. Previous cleaning experience as well as having worked within an educational environment would be advantageous but not essential. The ability to move light furniture is required.
This is a split shift vacancy, consisting of a morning and afternoon shift. The role is for 21hrs per week covering both A.M and P.M. shifts;
Hours: A.M shift Monday-Friday 06:39-08:45
P.M shift Monday- Friday 16:24-18:30
Contract: permanent, 43 weeks per year (term time plus 4 weeks during the holidays) or permanent 52 weeks per year.
Salary: SCP 5 currently £19,328.00 FTE p/a pro rata.

Childcare Practitioner with Pre-school experience
Due to increased demand Itchen College Nursery is looking to recruit a part time/term time Childcare Practitioner to work alongside our dedicated team in our outstanding setting.
We require a highly experienced Childcare Practitioner with a flexible approach to take responsibility to ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the Day Nursery. The successful candidates will be required to formulate and operate a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children attending the Nursery.
Minimum of Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare and education is required and you must be able to work flexibly between the hours of 8.00am – 5.30pm (exact shifts to be discussed at interview). GCSE Grade C or above in English and Math’s is desirable plus significant knowledge of the E.Y.F.S. and the SEND code of practice.
Hours: 18hrs per week, 39 weeks per year
Salary: SCP 3 currently £18,593 FTE, pro rata, per annum

Childcare Practitioner - Bank Staff
Itchen College Nursery is currently looking for Early Years Practitioners to work as bank staff on a regular basis within the Nursery.
Do you have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare and Education or working towards your qualification? Do you have experience working in an Early Years setting supporting EYFS? Are you dedicated and enthusiastic with the ability to use your own initiative? If so we want to hear from you. Can you work 8am-5pm?
