Results Day Success

UK 16-19

Itchen College students have achieved a 99% pass rate for A levels with 42% of students achieving A* to B and 74% achieving a grade between A* and C, improving upon results from 2019, the last time students sat public examinations. Students on vocational courses have also achieved a 99% pass rate with over 50% enjoying Distinction grades or better.

Principal Alex Scott said: ‘This is a fantastic set of results for a group of students that have not sat public examinations until now due to the pandemic. This group of students has worked tirelessly to ensure they overcame the barriers they faced due to lockdown in their first year, and covid related absence in their second year. They have been supported by a group of staff determined to ensure their students achieved as well as they possibly could. We are very proud of the effort of our students and staff that sits behind these results, and very thankful to the parents that have supported this achievement.’
