AGENDA

6.00 pm - Welcome and Introduction - Steve Perkins, Assistant Principal, Bridget Jones Guidance & Support Manager

6.05 pm - Responding to Offers - Alix Hickman, University of Winchester

6.30 pm - Student Finance Information -  Angie Randall, Solent University

6.55pm -  Q & A

If your son or daughter has not yet applied and is still considering a university education, then we would be keen to encourage them to apply, and would be able to support them through the process. The ‘SUN’ (Southern Universities Network) “Never too late” Campaign is a project focused on encouraging students to take their education beyond Itchen College if they wish to do so. Please look at the following website for more information or contact Lucy Prout at the College lprout@itchen.ac.uk

https://www.sunoutreach.org/students/resources/not-too-late/

The simple message is that it is not too late to apply for September entry.  Some students are put off university by the cost of Higher Education, but changes to the funding arrangements mean that most full-time students will not need to pay their tuition fees up front.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions bjones@itchen.ac.uk

Yours sincerely

Bridget Jones

Guidance and Support Manager
