International Students are placed with local, carefully selected homestay hosts.
Homestay accommodation is half board with breakfast and evening meals during weekdays and 3 meals at weekends. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated but there may be supplementary charges.
As you will be living in the home of a family in Southampton, you will get first hand experience of life in the UK. The host family is there to help you adjust and settle into your new life here.
We have many types of homestay hosts from married couples with young or grown-up children, to couples without children, single people with or without pets. We do our best to place you with the most suitable homestay, which is why we encourage you to send the application and necessary forms as early as possible.
We encourage our students and hosts to take part in activities together as a good practice to improve your English outside the classroom and to get to know each other. Our hosts have set house rules which you will need to follow, just like anyone else living in the household.
