Support for Learning is based in E20. We welcome all students to use this space – it is a safe and supportive environment within the College where you can get help whenever you need it.

We welcome students with a variety of disabilities and diverse learning styles, and we are committed to ensuring that all students are treated fairly and have an equal opportunity to excel during their time at Itchen.
All reasonable adjustments will be made to ensure that students with different learning requirements receive the support they need.
If you have an EHCP and are considering Itchen College, we work closely with your school and the Local Authority to make sure you are supported and that a strong transition takes place.
Our team are more than welcome to attend any Annual Reviews that are taking place to discuss your individual needs.
Exam access arrangements are there to help you do your best in exams. They make sure everyone has a fair chance to show what they know, especially if you have a learning difficulty, disability, medical condition, or temporary injury.

If you think you might need exam access arrangements, speak to the Support for Learning team as soon as possible. They can help you find out what support is available and what evidence you might need.
At Itchen, we work closely with outside agencies, such as advisory teachers for the visually and hearing impaired, ensuring students’ needs are met appropriately.

Travel training is available from Southampton City Council’s Travel team for any students who would benefit from support to travel independently.
