Itchen Sixth Form College receives government funding to support learners who are economically or socially disadvantaged and who face the highest barriers to continue in a sixth form education.

Eligibility for Itchen Financial Support (IFS)
You must be aged between 16 years and under 19 years of age on 31st August at the start of the academic year. The funding support is split into two types:
This Bursary is available to eligible students in any of the following categories:
Discretionary Support is designed to help with travel to and from College (College contract buses and Bluestar termly bus passes), essential course materials and resources (see our online College Shop for a list of available materials and resources), and essential College trips.
Discretionary Support may be available for students whose parent/guardians’ household annual income is less than £35,000 or if the parent/guardian living with the student is receiving one of the following benefits:
Once your IFS application is approved and you are enrolled, you will be able to apply for essential trips and resources via the student portal
Eligibility for free college meals is dependent upon household income. Students will need to apply using the online application form.
Should the application be successful then a £5 daily credit will be loaded onto the students college ID card for use in the college shop.
