Studying abroad offers so many exciting possibilities. Students can choose from a huge range of courses designed to motivate them, introducing them to new subjects and setting them up for a successful future. With over 50 different A Level and Level 3 Vocational courses, all delivered by industry experts and experienced professionals, Itchen Sixth Form College opens doors to universities and high-flying careers.
We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding quality in teaching, education programmes, and tailored provision for learners with high needs. Our dedicated team ensures every student receives exceptional academic and pastoral support, with specialist staff available for both domestic and international students. From academic assistance, such as maths and English workshops, to personalised support for dyslexia and one-to-one mentoring, we provide comprehensive services designed to help students succeed in their studies.
Student wellbeing is central to our approach. Our college nurse is on hand for health concerns, while our mental health support includes a dedicated lead for international students, ensuring they have the resources needed to thrive. The International School also offers a range of services, including a homestay officer, visa compliance support, and airport transfers for a seamless transition to and from the UK.
Students benefit from a rich and diverse lunchtime enrichment programme, offering over 50 clubs to explore. Whether they’re interested in business, languages, gaming, or sports like football and basketball, there’s something for everyone. Unique offerings such as Surviving Adulthood workshops, serial killer case study sessions, and creative opportunities like film and podcast clubs ensure students are engaged both academically and socially.
Our International School also organises monthly trips and activities, offering cultural and social experiences beyond the classroom. Plus, all international students receive a FREE Itchen College hoody as a warm welcome to our community.
In order to support our students to find their futures, we host a biannual university fair, where higher education institutions promote their courses directly to our students at Itchen College. Additionally, we run trips and taster days to local universities, giving students that first real experience of post-college life.
Itchen College provides full support with university applications, including A-Level and IELTS exam entry, ensuring students are well-prepared for their future studies.
