Welcome to the Academy of Sport

At the most successful sports College in Hampshire, our teams and athletes consistently achieve success and secure numerous titles and trophies each year.

The Academy of Sport is dedicated to enhancing athletic performance by offering a professional framework for training and competition, aimed at helping students reach their maximum sporting potential. Our programme enables students to pursue their sports ambitions, while simultaneously obtaining academic qualifications from our array of courses.

The College timetable is structured to allow the Academy of Sport to fit in alongside academic study. They will have two periods of Academy time each week:

  • Strength & conditioning sessions
  • Sport-specific coaching within teams on a Monday morning
  • College fixtures on a Wednesday afternoon

We also enter elite national competitions to develop students’ potential and exposure at the highest level. The Hampshire Colleges Sports Association programme is the strongest in the country, providing teams with weekly competitive fixtures against other colleges.

We pride ourselves on our dedication in producing confident sportspeople who demonstrate self-discipline, commitment and determination to be the best.
