Welcome to the High Performance Programme

High Performance is an engaging programme of activities and opportunities that supports and prepares ambitious and aspirational students to aim for competitive careers, universities and training.

How Do We Achieve This?
  • Workshops and 1:1 guidance on choosing university courses, high-level apprenticeships and competitive scholarships (including to American universities)
  • Bespoke support for university applications including 1:1 guidance on personal statements, mock interviews and aptitude test
  • Participation in a range of university outreach programmes including   University of Cambridge HE + programme, University of Oxford’s Outreach Programme and University of Southampton Learn with US Programme
  • Workshops and 1:1 guidance on interview technique and aptitude testing for competitive high level apprenticeships and training programmes
  • Workshops and 1:1 guidance on audition skills and preparation for performance related courses, portfolio building in creative subjects and sports trials for High Performance athletes
  • Group sessions and additional opportunities to support applications for Officer entry to Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army and Royal Air Force
  • Opportunities to participate in competitions, masterclasses, trips and events to enrich your studies and challenge your expectations
  • Specialist support for elite sports competitors through the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme

Student Success

“Emily was a High Performance Academy student and studied Psychology, English Literature and Drama & Theatre Studies, gaining fantastic grades of A, B, B. She also completed the Extended Project Qualification, for which she achieved the top mark of an A*. Speaking about her experience, Emily said, 'The EPQ was loads of fun, I wrote a musical.' Emily is now at the University of Chichester where she is studying Musical Theatre and Arts Development. ”
