Community Employment Support

The college works closely with a number of partners across the city and wider county to provide employment support training.

If you are currently unemployed and looking for work we can help you to find your future career, we will provide you with sector specific training, support with confidence and interview preparation and provide arrange a guaranteed interview with employers who are currently recruiting. Our dedicated team are on hand to answer questions, provide additional support and make those introductions with employers.

Employer Information

We work with a wide variety of employers across a number of industries to support with the recruitment of staff.

If you have a skills shortage, we can provide training to people specifically looking for employment in your industry to prepare them for work. We work with you to ensure the training we provide meets the needs of your business and arrange for you to meet and interview potential new employees.

Sector Based Work Programmes (SWAPs)

A Sector Based Work Programme consists of three key elements

  1. Sector specific training
  2. Employer visit either to speak to the group about working in the organisation or work experience
  3. Guaranteed interviews at the end of the course.
