Hire terms and conditions
Discover your creativity and build confidence in this practical ten-week art course, ideal for complete beginners or anyone wanting to reconnect with their artistic side for enjoyment and mindfulness. Over ten sessions, you’ll explore a diverse range of materials and techniques.
Starting with core drawing skills, you’ll progress to working with acrylics and watercolours, experimenting with different approaches along the way. The course also includes an introduction to landscape art, guiding you in how to observe and represent the world around you.
Date: 14th January 2026 – 11th February 2026 (one session per week, for five weeks)
Time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Venue: Itchen College, Middle Road, Bitterne, SO19 7TB
Cost: £50 per five-week course
* You will be provided with a list of equipment needed before the course begins to include: A4 or larger sketchbook of white cartridge paper, 2B and HB pencils, any paint you may already have (watercolour or acrylic).

Our five-week beginner courses are designed to help you feel confident in real-life situations – no exams, no pressure, just practical communication and a bit of fun along the way.
You’ll learn essential holiday vocabulary, useful phrases for travel, and the basics of Spanish grammar. From ordering tapas and asking for directions, to booking a room or chatting with locals, you’ll be ready to make the most of your next trip.
Each lesson is packed with engaging activities to get you speaking and understanding the languages from the start. Whether you’re planning a getaway or simply want to enjoy learning a new language, this is the perfect place to begin.
