At Itchen Sixth Form College we are always striving for excellence in everything we do. As part of our commitment to this, we have created areas of specialism to help focus efforts and push harder for success.
In 2013 we launched our Elite Sports Academy, which is delivered in partnership with Southampton Solent University. It is aimed at elite athletes who are competing at a high level in their sport. Students benefit from a range of professional strength and conditioning workshops, deep tissue massage and physiotherapy, free access to a dedicated Fitness Suite and a Personal Trainer for the duration of their time at Itchen.
If you have the dedication and aspiration to reach the top in your chosen sport, then the Elite Sports Academy is for you.
Team GB gymnast and former Itchen student Kelly competing at the 2015 World Championships in Glasgow, where she helped Team GB bring home the bronze medal.
Mahamed represents Great Britain in cross country and has even competed alongside Olympian Mo Farah.
