Itchen College are always keen to engage with a variety of employers to improve the social mobility of our students and their relationships with the wider community.

Please get in touch if you’d like to partner with us in support of our students’ development, we’d love to hear from you.
We work with a wide variety of employers across a number of industries to support with the recruitment of staff.
If you have a skills shortage, we can provide training to people specifically looking for employment in your industry to prepare them for work. We work with you to ensure the training we provide meets the needs of your business and arrange for you to meet and interview potential new employees.
These courses are called Sector Based Work Programmes (SWAPs), and they are supported across the city by a number of partners who we work closely with, to ensure we provide the right training, for the right people, at the right time. By following this format we have seen a success rate of 48% of people who complete the training go on to secure work and employers have filled vacancies in a quick and efficient way.
Please contact us to discuss your requirement and find out how you can get involved in this free service.
Hearing directly from people working in industry provides our students with valuable insight and inspiration.
We would welcome speakers from any industry to engage with our students, either as part of a careers event or small group presentations.
Please contact Nikki Parnell to get involved: nparnell@itchen.ac.uk
