If you have a concern

If you have a concern about your child’s experience at College, we encourage you to raise it with us as early as possible.

In many cases, the quickest way to resolve an issue is to speak directly to the member of staff involved or your child’s tutor.

If you’re unsure who to contact, our main College team can help direct your enquiry to the appropriate person.

Making a complaint

We aim to provide a positive experience for all students and their families.

If you are unhappy about something and your concern cannot be resolved informally, you can make a formal complaint through the College’s complaints procedure.

The complaints procedure explains:

  • Who you should contact.
  • How to raise your concern.
  • What information you should provide.
  • How your complaint will be considered.
  • What happens after a complaint is received.
  • What you can do if you are not satisfied with the outcome.
What should I do first?

If you have a concern, we recommend:

1. Speak to the appropriate member of staff

Where possible, start by discussing your concern with the person or team closest to the issue.

2. Speak to your child’s tutor

Your child’s tutor can often help with concerns relating to attendance, progress, wellbeing or their general experience at College.

3. Contact the appropriate College team

If your concern requires specialist support, we can direct you to the relevant team.

4. Make a formal complaint if necessary

If the issue cannot be resolved informally, you can follow the College’s formal complaints procedure.

Safeguarding concerns

If your concern relates to the safety or wellbeing of a student, please do not wait for the formal complaints process.

Safeguarding concerns should be raised immediately with a member of College staff or directly with the Safeguarding Team.
