Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Andrew Bailey, Governor of the Bank of England, to our campus. In front of a packed audience of eager students, Andrew delivered an engaging and insightful discussion, answering a wide array of thought-provoking questions from the floor.
Students were fascinated by Andrew’s candid insights into his role as the head of one of the most important financial institutions in the country. He shared what it’s like to hold the prestigious ‘top job’ at the Bank of England, shedding light on the challenges and responsibilities that come with it.
Andrew’s warmth and enthusiasm clearly resonated with the audience, and he expressed how much he enjoyed interacting with the students. His visit provided a unique opportunity for our aspiring economists and curious minds to gain valuable knowledge and inspiration.
We extend a huge thank you to Andrew Bailey for taking the time to engage with and inspire the next generation of thinkers and leaders here at Itchen Sixth Form College!
