Students are expected to comply with coursework and assignment deadlines set by their teachers. Failure to do so could lead to refusal to mark the coursework or assignment. In most cases, notification of serious illness could lead to an extension of time for completion. However, some deadlines are externally set and cannot be altered without a medical certificate.
Students who have a learning difficulty (i.e. dyslexia) and who have received extra time in examinations at school or who are diagnosed whilst at college, can ask the Support for Learning centre at the college for permission from examination boards for extra time to be allowed.
