What You Will Explore

 

Throughout the course, you will delve into a variety of exciting topics, including:

If you want to get involved in volunteering, coaching and teaching sport. These courses look excellent on your CV and demonstrates to universities and employers that you have given something back to sport and community through volunteering.

These courses are very much practical courses. You will be in the sports hall for every lesson therefore you need to have a keen interest in sport. To pass you will need to complete ten volunteer coaching hours, which you will need to organise. Students often go back to their secondary or primary schools to gain the hours or complete them at a sports team/club.

1st4sport Multi Skills: you have to complete various practical tasks like leading you peers in a warm up as well as running a coaching session. You will also have to complete ten volunteer hours.

Higher Sports Leadership Award (HSLA): you have to complete various practical tasks like leading you peers in a warm up as well as running a coaching session. You will also need to complete thirty volunteer hours in the local community.
